52 kgs of poppy straw recovered by team of Police Station, Jhajjar Kotli

In an act of alertness and prompt action Jammu police recovered 52 kg poppy straw. Based on the specific inputs regarding drug peddling, several nakas were laid at different locations by Jammu Police. On one such naka led by SHO P/S Jhajjar Kotli Inspr. Devinder Singh at Suketar, they rounded up a suspect namely Mandeep Singh

S/O Late Puran Singh R/O Avtal Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba in truck bearing Regd no JK02AD-2681. On search, 52 kgs of poppy straw was recovered from his illegal possession.

On this, case FIR No. 98/2021 U/S 8/15/25 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Jhajjar Kotli and the accused got arrested and the vehicle seized. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Sh. Parupkar Singh.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
